Privacy policy
Effective 8 September 2026 · Last updated 8 September 2026
This policy explains what information our games collect, why, and who it is shared with. It is written by 10926256 Canada Inc., trading as TapTouchStudio ("we", "us"), a company registered in Canada.
It covers Block Cascade (com.taptouchstudio.blockcascade) and
this website. If we release further games, this policy will be updated to name them.
The short version
We do not ask for your name, email, or any account. We do not build a profile of you. The one thing collected is your device's advertising identifier, and it is collected so that the ads paying for the game can be delivered and counted. Everything about how you actually play — your score, your settings — stays on your phone.
What is collected
| Data | Why | Who receives it |
|---|---|---|
| Advertising ID (Android AAID) | To select, deliver and measure ads, and to limit how often you see the same ad | Our ad provider and its partners |
| Device and technical information — model, operating system version, language, country, coarse network type | To deliver ads that work on your device and to diagnose crashes | Our ad provider and its partners |
| IP address | Processed automatically when the app requests an ad; used for approximate country-level location and fraud prevention | Our ad provider and its partners |
We do not collect your name, email address, phone number, contacts, photos, precise location, or the contents of your device.
What stays on your device
The following is stored locally by the game and is never transmitted to us or anyone else. It is removed when you uninstall the app:
- your saved game in progress and your board state;
- your best score;
- your sound effects and music preferences;
- counters used to pace how often ads appear.
Advertising
Block Cascade is free and is funded by advertising. Ads are served through Unity LevelPlay (formerly ironSource), which mediates between several advertising networks. When an ad is requested, LevelPlay and the network that wins that request receive the data listed above.
Those companies act as independent controllers of the data they receive, under their own privacy policies. Unity's policy is available at unity.com/legal/game-player-and-app-user-privacy-policy.
Where the law requires it, you will be asked for consent to personalised advertising before any such ad is shown, and you can change that choice later.
Controlling the advertising ID
The advertising ID is controlled by Android, not by us. On your device you can:
- Reset it — Settings › Privacy › Ads › Reset advertising ID. This breaks the link to any previously collected data.
- Delete it entirely — Settings › Privacy › Ads › Delete advertising ID. Apps then receive no identifier at all and ads become non-personalised.
The exact menu names vary a little between manufacturers and Android versions.
Children
Our games are not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them. Block Cascade is rated for a general audience but is aimed at players aged 13 and over. If you believe a child has provided us with data, contact us and we will delete it.
Your rights
Depending on where you live — including under Canadian privacy law, the GDPR in the UK and European Economic Area, and the CCPA in California — you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or restrict the processing of your personal data, and to object to it being used for advertising.
Because we do not hold accounts, the fastest way to exercise most of these rights is to reset or delete your advertising ID as described above, which severs the connection between you and any data held by our ad partners. If you would like us to act on a request directly, email us and we will respond within 30 days. We may ask for your advertising ID so we can identify the relevant records.
We do not sell personal information.
Retention
We do not operate servers and hold no database of players. Data collected for advertising is retained by our ad partners according to their own policies, typically for a limited period tied to attribution and fraud prevention.
This website
taptouchstudio.com is a static site. It sets no cookies, runs no analytics, and does not track visitors. Web fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which means Google receives your IP address when a page loads.
Changes
If this policy changes materially, we will update the effective date above and, where the change is significant, note it inside the app. Continuing to use our games after a change means you accept the updated policy.
